Some Haikus about root vegetables by Nathan and Me

my mouth, it waters
jerusalem artichoke
in my big mouth hole

baked potatoes hot
in my hand, never in yours
mine, all mine, all mine!

bright inverted spire
carrot, wanders my pallet
a lost samurai

parsnip, cone of white
sweet, pithy wonderful thing
get in my body

concentric circles
pungent orbits of sorrow
oh onion, I weep

buttery dicot
uncloak your glabrous meat skin
slippery peanut
