HAVE YOU SEEN THESE PEOPLE???

I recently got a load of my digital photos printed at Boots in Glasgow, and when I got them back, this photography was in amongst them. I did not take this photo. I don''t know who these people are. DO YOU?? Now I want to know who they are. Please get in touch if you recognise any of the people in the above picture.

This links into a lot of things I'm interested in including finding objects that belong to strangers that hold part of their story and old pictures and "family portraits".
Recently been looking at this blog : http://www.sexypeople-blog.com/ which also links back to the found photograph.

Artist Rooms

Took a wander to the Artist Rooms exhibition the other day at the Edinburgh Gallery of Modern Art. It was the last day of the exhibition and I'm so glad I did manage to see it.

I'd never seen a Damien Hirst in real life before so I still hadn't made my mind up about him. And I was surprised that I really loved the work. After leaving the exhibition, it was Hirst's rooms that stuck in my head. The sheep in formaldehyde was actually so beautiful. I wasn't expecting that.

Really enjoyed the Ellen Gallagher collages and paintings as well.
And I've loved Andy Warhol's stitched photographs for years so it was good to see them in real life.

"Flowers"

Pictures taken and developed last February for a photography project.

John Baldessari

Choosing (A Game for Two Players): Green Beans, 1971. John Baldessari

"When choosing which ideas to follow, go with the ones that would be the most fun. We need to always find pleasure in making the art so that it never comes to feel like work, which lets us continue without a sense of drudgery."

Some interesting points made in this interview.

Got me looking at more of Baldessari's work . I love a lot of his older photographic work. It the kind of thing I look at, and then get annoyed that I didn't think of it first. Simple ideas are the best ideas.

Nana's House

Recently my Nana had to leave the house she has lived in for over 50 years to live in a care home. After she had moved I documented the house before it was was emptied.
